On 7 November 2018, the Corporate Reporting Dialogue, convened in June 2014 by the IIRC to respond to market calls for greater coherence, consistency and comparability between corporate reporting frameworks, standards and related requirements, announced the “Better Alignment Project”.
This is a major two year-project in which the frameworks will undertake joint work to map and align their metrics, to identify how non-financial metrics relate to financial outcomes, with the ultimate aim for a paradigm shift towards the integration of financial and non-financial information.
